#CampOrBust Update ~ SFC sends more kids to camp!

8.4.2016~Today St. Francis Center sent the last group of overnight campers to their week long excursion at Circle V Ranch in Santa Barbara. 47 kids, from the extremely low-income families that utilize pantry services at SFC, will enjoy innovative and enriching outdoor activities that will help build their self-esteem and expand their knowledge.

None of this would be possible without the generosity of our dedicated donors who have helped us send more kids to camp this year than ever before! With our larger service area for our Pantry Service including a satellite pantry at Immaculate Conception School in the Pico Union neighborhood and South Central Los Angeles Ministry Project in South Los Angeles, our goal was to accommodate the youth living in these communities in our camp program. We are so happy to have been able to give these underprivileged kids the chance to experience life outside of the congestion of the city and show them the peace and beauty of nature, while instilling in them skills and memories that will last a lifetime.
