SFC Camp or Bust ~ Just over half way to our goal!

June 22, 2016

We need your help to send 330 kids to camp this summer!
Thanks to the contribution of generous donors we have raised just over half of the money needed to give the gift of camp to all the children whose extremely-low income families utilize pantry services at SFC.
With our larger service area for our Pantry Service including a satellite pantry at Immaculate Conception School in the Pico Union neighborhood and South Central Los Angeles Ministry Project in South Los Angeles, our goal is also to accommodate the youth living in these communities in our camp program. Last year, we sent over 300 youth to a combination of overnight, weeklong camps and day camps and we anticipate extending the opportunity to 30 more youth this summer.

Summer camp not only connects our youth with nature, but engages them in a variety of activities that build self-esteem, spur personal growth and open their eyes to new opportunities! These experiences have a lasting effect on our youth in the future.

Will you help us reach our goal and show these underprivileged children that there is more to life than what they see on the streets of Los Angeles?

Yes, I want to send a child to camp!
